PREV-HED (Prevention of sexual violence and harassment in higher education) seeks to combat sexual harassment in European universities through the exchange of good practices among them, the promotion of innovative prevention strategies, and the training of teaching and administrative staff.
Its objectives are to fight against sexual harassment in universities, strengthen the competencies of all professionals, and stablish reporting and support mechanisms for victims. The project shares best practices in sexual harassment prevention and works on the development of effective prevention policies tailored to the specific needs of universities. PREV-HED includes the organization of awareness campaigns and the establishment of reporting and support mechanisms for victims. It will also promote the creation of a network of experts in sexual harassment prevention.
It aims to produce several positive outcomes and effects, including effective prevention policies adapted to the specificities of universities and training to enhances the skills of university professionals. The project seeks to raise student awareness of respectful behavior and prevent gender- and sexual-based violence by identifying reporting and support mechanisms for victims. Ultimately, the project aims to create more inclusive and non-violent academic environments.
